Last week, I launched a new version of the Fitness Tracker website and then promptly got to work rebuilding this website. With some new design skills came much better taste and I got to the point where I didn't feel good about updating either of them. With the Fitness Tracker rewrite ahead of schedule, I shifted gears for half a sprint and got two websites close to release.

Fitness Tracker is a content rich site with information on almost 900 exercises plus a lot of information on nutrition and anatomy. Building it was several challenges starting at the content. That exercise directory has evolved from a lot of sources over the years and had a lot of structured data (in four different structures). Quite a lot of Python had to happen before it was even ready to be turned into anything.

With that data somewhat ready to go, I started work. The website uses fully custom SCSS and is built around performance and accessibility just like the application will be. Heck, I'm rewriting it for better performance.

There are some things I need to fix but I'm really proud of this website so far - my design skills have come a long ways and design has turned into something I actually do for fun now. That would have been unbelievable to me six months ago.
