I have never been under the illusion that I’m good at designing things, but I am only faced with how bad I truly am when the time comes to redesign my website. Now, I know that I could just download a Hugo theme and go from there, I just don’t want to - I have a vision of how I would like my website to look and I just can’t find a theme that matches my vision. So I try to design it myself, realize how bad I am at design and then power through it knowing I won’t have to go through this hell until the next time I redesign my website.
So yeah, that’s how my new website is going.
But, it’s almost done. This new build pipeline is a little more complicated than I like - it uses csspurge to cut down on unused CSS in my final build. But once I iron out a few last wrinkles, I’ll be ready to launch.
And then promptly forget about the hell I’ve been through until the next time I redesign my website.
